
Seven West Media’s (SWM’s) offer to acquire the Prime Television regional network, announced on 1 November, is the culmination of years of negotiations between the companies. The new offer was around double SWM’s 2019 offer, but still at a low multiple reflecting the poor prospects for standalone regional television operations.
